The surrounding castles


The region is well known for its many exceptional castles, steeped in history, anecdotes and life. Discover them during your visit to Clos Saint Lubin. Start with a visit to the Château de Courances, a magnificent Louis XIII-style building with its 75-hectare park classified as a Remarkable Garden.

Continue with the discovery of the Castle-Museum of Nemours, located on the edge of the Loing river, this 12th century castle now houses pieces of archeology, earthenware, paintings and sculptures.

Continue your journey with a visit to the Château de Fontainebleau, which was a royal hunting residence in the Middle Ages, the residence of François I and the favorite place of Napoleon Bonaparte in the 19th century.

Continue with a visit to the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte which will reveal many treasures to you: furniture, tapestries, works of art, the King's bedroom, the Muses' lounge and the dining room.

End with the Château de Blandy-les-Tours, a fortified castle with five towers that nestles in the heart of the countryside.
